Recently I just bought another bluetooth keyboard as a  replacement of previous PALM Bluetooth Keyboard which few buttons are not working anymore and I hardly found any repair place to fix the problem.

The bluetooth keyboard that catches my attention is Advance Digitals K-T10BT. The keyboard is pretty cheap at around $11. I’m not looking for proffesional bluetooth keyboard so I don’t looking for expensive ones.

The keyboard is relatively as big as normal 14″ laptop keyboard, not as portable as flippable PALM bluetooth keyboard but still easy to carry around in your bag and not really take that much space — but again, compared to PALM bluetooth headset its still massive :P.

First trying this keyboard, actually the keyboard was not so bad, though the pressure needed for the keyboard catch the key than my laptop (Samsung laptop) or the palm bluetooth keyboard is considerably more. It sounds clicky more, a lot more noisy than laptop keyboard’s noisyness. If compared to normal logitech PC keyboard, the sound from this bluetooth keyboard is notably softer.

This keyboard supports both Android (Asus Padfone S) and Windows 7 on my Samsung Laptop. All the keys are working well, though you cannot ctrl+backspace for word deletion in Android as Palm bluetooth keyboard did support.

Few Android’s function also supported by this keyboard, like HOME, screenshot, lock screen, mail, volume, etc.

The battery  usage is quite long. I don’t really observe the usage of battery, but it doesn’t really annoy me, so I think it’s normal.

The downside of this keyboard is it has no  ON-OFF switch, which means, the keyboard is actually always on, any key stroke will make this keyboard active and that means it will connect and override your keyboard setting to your phone  (for example if you put they keyboard in bag, and use your phone normally, inside your bag the key was accidentally pressed, and your phone automatically connected to the keyboard-again.

I hate that, so I preffer to unplug the battery if I need to put it in the bag.

Overall this is a nice keyboard for only $11.

Hi there,

if you were like me,  have plenty of chat groups in whatsapp and can’t stop looking at your phone simply because there’s red light beeping,  or the phone vibrating and showing you have hundred of notifications, or any other form of notification that makes you have the urge to open your phone or open the whatsapp application, then yes –  you a bit similar to me – distracted to whatsapp but don’t want to leave the  groups because  want to follow what’s going on or want to participate the chat later.

yes,  I do have plenty of group chats (18 groups)  in whatsapp. not every group I’d like to follow the topic at the time,  sometimes I just want to read it later,  when I am chilling or not busy.

the notification I’m talking about not just the vibration or the blinking notification led.  I’m also talking about notification icon on notification bar.  you should now what I’m talking about.

yes,  that icon, that icon!
if I see whatsapp icon,  I automatically “have to” open the app and read the message.  that sucks.  yeah that was my habit — and maybe one of you guys have the same habit.

so,  basically set this option in whatsapp, you can set the sound and vibration and light of either personal message and group message notification. yeah,  we can set the sound to none,  vibration to none,  light to none, pop-up to none, and it solves 75% of the problem.

but unfortunately the notification is still displayed.
and even I still have the urge to open the whatsapp app to check the messages. nothing wrong with that right? except there’s no personal message for you,  only notification for the group chats.

so I find a way to get rid the notification on the notification bar.
go to:
Settings –  Application –  Downloaded –  Whatsapp

uncheck “Show notification”. close the setting.

voila, whatsapp notification dissappear from your notification bar. problem solved!

no more group notification bugging you. good!

why there’s no notification at all from whatsapp?
what about the personal message delivered to me? when I open the whatsapp there’s the messages,  all was delivered to me, but why no notification at all?

the answer of to that question would be because “show notification” has been unchecked. because it is unchecked,  all the notification from whatsapp is not showing,  even if you put the vibration or sound on from the whatsapp application.

so,  what should we do about it?
simple,  back to

Settings –  Application –  Downloaded –  Whatsapp

check “Show notification”. close the setting.

so how we should to :
– notification appear when get personal message
– don’t get any notification on notification bar if it is group chat

simple,  you just have to do this.
1. open whatsapp
2. open group chat you want to disable notification
3. select three dot icon (option)
4. select “mute”
5. select “1 year”
6. repeat this step to another group chat you want the notification not appear.

now your group chat notification would never appear on notification bar.

and this way works also for Android wear or pebble.

is it work for you?

You want to use old number for whatsapp but now you changing your number? Yes you can 🙂

So, this is the requirement.- 2 mobile phones (1 installed whatsapp app, the other is up to you, as long the other phone able to receive sms and/or call)
– 1 active new number you are going to use for call/sms/data
– 1 active old number that you still wanna use in whatsapp (because maybe a lot of people has knew this number, or because the number are going to be used in another phone, etc)

How to do it ? Let’s assume your old number is +62234567890 and the new number is +62098765432, and lets call the Phone with whatsapp is Phone#1 and other Phone called Phone#2. So, lets do this :
1. Insert the new number (eq +62098765432) to Phone#1, Turn it on, make sure the internet is active.
2. Insert the old number (eq. +62234567890 ) to Phone#2. Turn it on, make sure it can get sms & call
3. Open Whatsapp app, insert old number in textfields.
4. There’s a timer in your whatsapp to check whether it is failed or not, just let it open (dont do anything).
5. Your Phone#2 will get a SMS similar like this : "901 WhatApp internal use – safe to discard" (the number may different)
6. Wait until the timer on Phone#1 is finished, there will be some failed notification/pop-up and maybe it will confirm you to retry the sms (or automatically do sms).mainActivity If you’re being asked to retry sms, just do it.
7. Wait until Phone#2 get a SMS similar like this : "WhatsaApp code 365" (the number may different)
8. Insert 365 (from the last sms on Phone#2) to Phone#1.

You should able to connect to WhatsApp which registered with your old number on Phone#1
But if you did not get any SMS, or failed, you continue to step 9.
9. Wait until there is a button "Call Me"
10. Press Call Me button, then wait Phone#2 get a phone call from WhatsApp
11. Hear the 3 digits code, insert it to textfields.

You’re done now 🙂

After using whatsapp messenger for more than 1 year, finally whatsapp release "remove group member" feature. That is some critical feature that I’ve been waiting since a long time ago.
Why? That is an user fault actually that need to be handled by this feature.
Okay, let’s start, I’m living in Indonesia that most of people here using Blackberry devices (compared to Android and iOS), but not all of the blackberry user are always using full blackberry service, and most of them are using blackberry social or mail package. So basically when those kin of people are using Full Blackberry Internet Services, he/she usually install whatsapp and asked to be invited to the group, and no problem, yet. The problem is happens when they are not using full blackberry Internet service anymore. he/she may just leave the whatsapp, without leave the group first. See the problem? Yes, we may know that his/her are not be used anymore but we couldn’t remove it from group. That’s why I want it so badly 🙂

Bitmap bmp = BitmapFactory.decodeFile(Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory()
+ strStoragePath+strLocalFileName+strJPGext);

That is the code.

This “Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory()+ strStoragePath+strLocalFileName+strJPGext” actually meant the file path, for example : “mnt/sdcard/yourfolder/blabla.jpg”.

Well, in my opinion, here’s top two sites that provide apk (mostly pirated apk) :

1. http://www.blapkmarket.com

2. http://www.mobilism.org

I still prefer blapkmarket.com eventhough they dont provide sd card app/game data, because the .apk usually works, not like mobilism.org  who usually also provide game data but sometimes not works on my phone

I searched all over the internet and found no posts like this, hence I’m making one hoping it would be helpful for a lot of people.

The magic URL used to be – http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml (Outdated)
That is the XML file from which the URL for downloading the SDK packages are obtained.

Update :- The previous URL is now invalid, the new URL is given below

For e.g. if you want to download Android SDK for version 4.0.3 for all platforms, you could look up that XML file. You will find a block under tag SDK 4.0.3 like this

<sdk:archive arch=”any” os=”any”>

<sdk:checksum type=”sha1″>f2aa75133c29916b0b0b984974c2d5e46cb09e9c</sdk:checksum>

So the URL will be is http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/android-15_r01.zip

If all the above sounds too complex

You can directly download from the below links. If this page does turn out to be useful, then I might update it regularly. Do leave a comment to let me know if it has helped you.
